Rocketry | Model Rockets | July 24 - July 28 | Grades 4 - 8
Want to build your own model rockets and launch them to 1000Ft and beyond?
This course introduces students to the physics behind building and launching a model rocket. Students gain a better understanding of STEM concepts like gravity, thrust, trajectory, principles of aerodynamics, flight and Newton's law of motion. Model Rockets are a popular way to increase student's interest in STEM during middle and high school. You can find a great deal of information here: https://www.nar.org/.
Again this would be a hands-on experiment/research based learning where the kids would come together to build their first rockets, send their payloads and start experimenting with principles of flight and exploration.
